§         Banteer Tidy Towns- litter pick up on Wednesdays at 7.30pm.Community Council/Tidy Towns Committee have requested the County Council to reinstate the regular weekly collection of public litterbins in the village. 

§         August Weekend Banteer 2004-events this August weekend will include Banteer Sports on Sun, and on Monday a Duck Race on the Glen River and the annual Puc Fada in Nadd.

§         IRD Duhallow Community Forum –South Eastern Community Forum meeting in Banteer Community Centre on Weds 23^rd June at 8.30pm.Guest speakers on the night include an Environmental Representative from Cork County Council speaking on Environmental Initiatives within the community and a representative from Irish Rural Link speaking on insurance for Community Councils and voluntary bodies

§         Cork County Childcare Committee are holding an Information Forum and Exhibition at Kingsley Hotel, Cork on Weds June 16^th from 10am-1pm-contact Rose at 022-26648 for info. 

§         Banteer Youth Club Summer Camp:  Unfortunately due to the large number of applications for the Summer Camp, not all can be accommodated, as numbers are just too big.   Therefore, applications received after the cut off date of 21^st May will not be included this year.    Contact will be made with the unsuccessful applicants during the coming week.     If you have already applied and for some reason cannot now attend, please inform us as soon as possible so that those on the waiting list can be accommodated.  

Dance Class: As part of the Summer Camp, we are holding a Dance class on Friday the 2^nd July from 10am to 1pm in the Community Centre.   This is open to 7 to 10 year olds only and a maximum of 20 will be accommodated.     Names to Joan @ 56250 or Eileen @ 56343.
