§ Banteer Wednesday Club members received their certificates from the Irish Sports Council on Wednesday last. Members are going to Millstreet Country Park on the DART bus this week. There will be lunch and entertainment. The Club is going on an outing to Clare on Wednesday June 9th. We will then take a break for the summer and restart in September. An enjoyable summer to all members. Grateful thanks to all helpers who make Wednesday afternoons such a success. § Banteer Drama Group are delighted to accept an invitation from the organising committee of Listowel Writers Week to perform their hilarious Two-Act Comedy “It runs in the family” on Friday June 4th, in St. John’s Theatre Listowel at 8pm. § Banteer/Lyre GAA-JHL Semi final Banteer v Millstreet on Sat 5th June. Cork GAA Draw winners for May-€150 Ger and Mary Moran. § Banteer Youth Club- The youth committee will contact all those who ordered bins as soon as Cork County Council will deliver the bins. Youth Club will resume in Sept-a happy summer to all members. § Banteer Tidy Towns- preliminary judging will take place in early June. All residents are asked to make a special effort to clean their areas whether it is cutting grass, picking litter, flowers or helping in other ways. Litter pick on Wednesdays all volunteers meet in square at 7.30pm. § August Weekend Banteer 2004-events this August weekend will include Banteer Sports on Sun, and on Monday a Duck Race on the Glen river and the annual Puc Fada in Nadd. |
